Baseball

Through August: Jack City Sports Center is offering a variety of summer camps for boys and girls ages 5 to 13. The camps run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and among the sports available are baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, football and speed and agility. Cost is $150 per week. Sept. 11: The 10th annual Suwanee Day Classic 5K and 10K race will start at Town Center Park with the 5K beginning at 8 a.m. and the 10K at 9 a.m. For more information or to register before Sept. 1, visit www.suwaneeday.com www.active.com. Late registration and number pick-up will be available from 4:30-8 p.m. on Sept. 10 at a Runners Expo at City Hall and at 6:30 a.m. race day.

Oct. 2: Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church will host its second straight Operation Soldier Support 5K run at 8 a.m. The 3.1-mile course begins at the church and proceeds into Little Mulberry Park.
