Prep Roundup: Nimley’s 41 sets new Collins Hill scoring mark
SUWANEE — Saah Nimley set the Collins Hill boys basketball record with 41 points as the Eagles beat Chattahoochee 77-66 on Friday. Nimley also had seven assists, while Herdie Lawrence scored 29 points for Collins Hill (5-2, 3-1 in Region 7-AAAAA).

SUWANEE — Saah Nimley set the Collins Hill boys basketball record with 41 points as the Eagles beat Chattahoochee 77-66 on Friday.

Nimley also had seven assists, while Herdie Lawrence scored 29 points for Collins Hill (5-2, 3-1 in Region 7-AAAAA).

BOYS BASKETBALL

GAC 72, Blessed Trinity 44

ROSWELL — Paul Dawson led the Spartans with 23 points as Greater Atlanta Christian took a 72-44 win over Region 6-AA rival Blessed Trinity on Friday.

Malcolm Brogdon had 19 points, while Beaux Herbert and Trent Wiedeman each scored 10 points for GAC.

Parkview 56, Shiloh 51

SNELLVILLE — Parkview topped Region 8-AAAAA foe Shiloh 56-51 and improved its record to 3-4 on Friday.

Christian Patterson led the Panthers with 20 points and Brandon Oluyede added 10 for Parkview.

Meadowcreek 53, Berkmar 38

NORCROSS — Meadowcreek defeated Berkmar 53-38 in a Region 8-AAAAA game on Friday.

Terrance Glass had 13 points and 10 rebounds and John Ruff added nine points for Meadowcreek (6-2, 4-2).

Central 63, Brookwood 59

SNELLVILLE — Central Gwinnett took a 63-59 region win over the Broncos on Friday night.

Brian Williams scored 16 points, Kyron Anderson added 14 points, while Jordan Adams and Jerry Coleman each contributed 10 points for the Black Knights (7-0, 4-0 in 8-AAAAA).

Dacula 54, Grayson 43

GRAYSON — Terrence Hutchins scored 18, helping Dacula take a 54-43 victory over Grayson in Region 8-AAAAA action on Friday.

Dexter Walker and Shay Agboola each had 14 points for Dacula (3-5).

Duluth 61, North Forsyth 47

CUMMING — Zane Cobb led Duluth with 20 points as Duluth took a 61-47 win over North Forsyth on Friday night.

Alex Fragoso scored 15 points and Avonte Hall added 14 points for the Wildcats (3-3, 1-3 in 7-AAAAA).

Mill Creek 65, North 51

HOSCHTON — Brandon Hayman scored 18 points and had eight steals as Mill Creek topped North Gwinnett 65-51 on Friday.

Derrick Lacey added 17 points for Mill Creek (7-0), while Conner Day scored 13 points for North.

Morgan County 67, Mountain View 57

LAWRENCEVILLE — Morgan County beat Mountain View 67-57 on Friday.

Troy Taylor scored 16 points, Drew Bollier added 14 points and Dadriane Smith helped with 10 points for Mountain View (3-3).

Archer 46, Oconee Co. 35

LAWRENCEVILLE — Brian Hamlet led with 11 points as Archer (2-4, 1-0) beat Oconee County 46-35 on Friday.

Wesleyan 62, Mt. Pisgah 32

NORCROSS — Griffin Schamp scored 16 points to lead Wesleyan 62-32 over Mt. Pisgah. Wesleyan improve to 6-1.

Chattanooga 57, GGC 54

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Greater Gwinnett Christian Barons fell to the Chattanooga Patriots 57-54 on Friday.

Bruce Burkholder had 15 points and 24 rebounds, while Jared Barajas also scored 15 points for GGC. David Harley had four steals for the Barons (8-3).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Norcross 74, Peachtree Ridge 51

SUWANEE — Diamond DeShields led Norcross with 36 points and seven rebounds, helping defeat Peachtree Ridge 74-51 on Friday.

Briana Jordan finished with 16 points, eight steals and four rebounds, while Kaela Davis had 13 points and 15 rebounds for Norcross (7-0, 4-0 in 7-AAAAA).

Brookwood 69, Central 41

SNELLVILLE — Katie Mallow led with 21 points as Brookwood took a 69-41 victory over Central Gwinnett on Friday.

Autumn Adams helped the Broncos (6-2, 3-1 in 8-AAAAA) with 11 points. Nia Hardy scored 12 points and Bri Hampton added 10 for Central (3-4, 2-2).

GAC 59, Blessed Trinity 27

ROSWELL — Clarke Boards contributed 14 points and five rebounds as Greater Atlanta Christian took a 59-27 win over Blessed Trinity on Friday.

Chaney Means scored 11 points, had 10 rebounds and six assists, while Alex McCall had nine points and nine rebounds for the Spartans (6-1, 2-0 in 6-AA).

Grayson 59, Dacula 40

GRAYSON — Anna LaCavera scored 19 points as Grayson took a 50-40 win over Dacula on Friday.

Anela Durmic had 15 points and Taren White contributed 10 points, four assists and four rebounds for the Rams (3-3, 1-2 in 8-AAAAA).

Breanna Overby scored 10 points and Kelsey Hutchins added eight points for Dacula (3-5).

Chattahoochee 60, Collins Hill 50

SUWANEE — Collins Hill fell to Chattahoochee 60-50 in Region 7-AAAAA action Friday night.

Bria Young had 13 points, three assists and four steals, while Jordan Ulm added 11 points for the Eagles (3-4, 1-3).

Parkview 61, Shiloh 21

SNELLVILLE — Lauren Coleman led Parkview with 19 points as the Panthers took a 61-21 win over Shiloh on Saturday.

Maggie Smith scored 10 points for Parkview and improved to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in Region 8-AAAAA.

Duluth 65, North Forsyth 64

CUMMING — Kayla Nolan scored the winning basket with six seconds left in overtime as Duluth beat North Forsyth 65-64 on Friday night.

Domonique Miller finished with 26 points and Aliya Thomas and Abby Powell each scored eight points for Duluth (3-3, 2-2 in 7-AAAAA).

Mill Creek 44, North 30

HOSCHTON — Moneshia Simmons scored 13 points and had 10 rebounds to help Mill Creek (6-1, 4-0 in 7-AAAAA) beat North Gwinnett 44-30 on Friday.

Berkmar 49, Meadowcreek 33

NORCROSS — Berkmar topped Meadowcreek 49-33 in Region 8-AAAAA action Friday despite Labrea McKay’s 12 points, 15 rebounds and three steals for Meadowcreek.

KaVonne Towns had 16 points to lead the Patriots.

Morgan County 57, Mountain View 46

LAWRENCEVILLE — Mountain View lost to Morgan County 57-46 on Friday.

Bailey Holmes scored 15 points, Jade Manning added 12 points and Ivey Franklin had 11 rebounds for Mountain View (1-5).

Oconee County 58, Archer 35

LAWRENCEVILLE — Archer fell to Oconee County 58-35 on Friday.

Janetta Felton had 12 points and Danicka Brown scored 10 for the Tigers (1-4).

Wesleyan 77, Mt. Pisgah 12

NORCROSS — Wesleyan improved to 6-0 after defeating Mt. Pisgah 77-12 on Friday.

Holli Wilkins led with 14 points, Kennington Groff scored 12 points, Erin Hall contributed 10 points, while Grace Cowart added nine for Wesleyan.

Providence 55, Green Forest 28

DECATUR — Aubrey Gold scored 16 points to help Providence beat Green Forest 55-28 on Friday.

Stephanie Cailor had 12 points, while Erika Gotfredson added 11 points for the Stars.
