Prep Roundup: Broncos rally past Madison Co.

DANIELSVILLE — The Broncos were down by seven at the half, but came back and topped Madison County 61-53 on Saturday.
Katie Mallow led Brookwood with 22 points, while Jazmine Jackson and Rosa Powell each added 12 points. Rebecca Walker had 11 rebounds, and Autumn Adams had 10 rebounds for the Broncos (5-1).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
GAC 57, Dacula 26
NORCROSS — Christina Nelson scored 17 points as the Spartans defeated Dacula 57-26 on Saturday.
Peyton Whitted scored 13 points and Chaney Means contributed seven points, 12 rebounds and six assists for GAC. Kelsey Hutchins had six points for Dacula (3-3).
Prince Avenue 46, Providence 41
BOGART — Providence fell to Prince Avenue Christian 46-41 on Saturday.
Erika Gotfredson scored 15 points and Aubrey Gold added nine for Providence.
Mountain View 46, Athens Christian 31
LAWRENCEVILLE — Emery Buckner led Mountain View with 15 points, helping the Bears beat Athens Christian 46-31 on Saturday.
Bailey Holmes scored 11 points, Ivey Franklin had 11 rebounds and Kianan Carmichael had 10 rebounds for Mountain View (1-3).
Johns Creek 58, Archer 47
JOHNS CREEK — Archer’s Sammy Healy led all scorers with 18 points, but the Lions fell to Johns Creek 58-47 on Saturday.
On Friday, Archer fell to Drew 38-36, and Kotori Spillers scored 10 for the Lions (1-3).
Walton 64, Meadowcreek 29
NORCROSS — Walton defeated Meadowcreek 64-29 on Saturday.
Freddie Danielle Banks scored 10 points for the Mustangs.
Stephenson 50, Shiloh 25
STONE MOUNTAIN — Stephenson beat Shiloh 50-25 on Saturday.
Paden Smith, Tajshiana Westbrook and Alyssa Aitken each scored six points for Shiloh, and Aitken also contributed seven rebounds and four blocks.
BOYS BASKETBALL
GAC 71, Dacula 37
NORCROSS — Malcolm Brogdon led the Spartans with 23 points to help Greater Atlanta Christian defeat Dacula 71-37 on Saturday.
Elliott Long scored 15 points and Trent Wiedeman contributed 10 points for GAC (2-0).
Providence 64, Prince Avenue 54
LILBURN — Peter Hage led with 20 points as Providence topped Prince Avenue 64-54 on Saturday.
Nate Bucher contributed 13 points for Providence.
On Friday, Providence took a 69-52 win over Hebron. Peter Hage scored 19 points, while Nate Bucher added 16 for Providence (4-1).
Athens Christian 92, Mountain View 79
LAWRENCEVILLE — Troy Taylor scored 22 points for the Bears but it wasn’t enough, as Mountain View fell to Athens Christian 92-79 on Saturday.
Drew Bollier contributed 18 points and Chaz Grant added 16 points for Mountain View (3-1).
Walton 89, Meadowcreek 70
NORCROSS — Terrance Glass led the Mustangs with 24 points and 17 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as Meadowcreek fell 89-70 against Walton.
John Ruff contributed 21 points and eight rebounds for Meadowcreek.
Greater Gwinnett 70, Kings Ridge 34
POWDER SPRINGS — Greater Gwinnett Christian beat Kings Ridge 70-34 to place third in the Praise Academy Tournament on Saturday.
Bruce Burkholder led the Barons with 24 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks, while Jared Barajas had 10 steals and seven assists.
WRESTLING
Collins Hill swept through the Walton Duels
MARIETTA — Collins Hill went 5-0, beating Mill Creek 83-0, Forsyth Central 83-0, Walton 8-0, Valdosta 74-0 and Pope 38-14 on Saturday.
T.J. Mitchell had five pins, while Bazell Partridge and Joel Smith had four pins. Joseph Doyague, Drew Ferguson, Davante Brown, Stephen Bradtmueller, Jamie Hertica, Mac Bennett, C.J. Collins and Thomas Delain each had three pins for the Eagles.
Berkmar finishes 2-for-3
ADAIRSVILLE — Berkmar fell to South Gwinnett 35-32, and beat Cedar Shoals 62-21 on Friday.
On Saturday, Berkmar finished the Adairsville Duals 2-for-3, beating Cedar Town 48-30 and Pepperell 42-40, but lost to South Paulding 60-18, Cherokee 54-21, and Adairsville 49-40. On Friday, Berkmar the six wrestlers to go undefeated 2-0 were Landon Dao (112), Phillip Nguyen (119), Franklin Dao (125), Enrique Martinez (135), Martin Sosa (140) and Jon James (152).
Saturday, Martinez was 5-0 with five pins, Hunter Booker (160) and Viktor Cheban (189) finished 4-1 with four pins. Landon Dao, Martin Sosa and Jon James were 3-2.
