2009 All-County Fastpitch Softball Team

Player of the Year: Alysha Rudnik, C, Buford, Sr.
Hit .474 with county bests of 7 HR and 37 RBIs and added 10 triples , 34
runs scored and an 1.184 OPS and picked off eight baserunners behind the
plate. The Georgia Tech commit was also at her best in the clutch, hitting a
solo home run in the Class AA state championship game that helped pave the
way for the Wolves’ third straight title.

Pitcher of the Year: Kayla Floor, Collins Hill, Soph.
Went 20-2 and allowed just four earned runs in 144 1/3 innings for a 0.19
ERA. Also struck out 157 batters and added a save, 18 complete games, 14
shutouts and a no-hitter. Also was the pitcher of record in two of the
Eagles’ three wins on the final day of the Class AAAAA state tournament to
claim the title.

Coach of the Year: Billy Dooley, Collins Hill
Led the Eagles to a 35-4 record and their first Class AAAAA state
championship since 2005.
