Wright Wilbur O'Laughlin, 78, of Snellville, GA, passed away on Friday, November 18. Wright is survived by his wife, Christine; his children, Mark, Lamont, Casey, Dennis, Bruce, Iris, Sandy, and Wright; his 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and was a good husband, father, and carpenter, and he loved all things nature. A private family gathering will be held in Snellville. Ron & June Osier

Ron Osier, age 78, and his beloved wife, June Osier, age 76, of Lawrenceville, Georgia went home to be with their Lord and Savior on November 17, 2011, after sustaining injuries in an automobile crash. They are survived by their five children; Doug Osier and wife Tammy of Loganville, GA, Laura Nichols and husband Mark of Orange City, FL, David Osier and wife Jia of Spokane, WA, Donald P. Osier of Winder, GA, Dennis Osier and wife Amy of Winder, GA; eleven grandchildren; Morgan, Alex, Phillip, Sean, Kathleen, Penny, Kelly, Jacob, Stephanie, Lian, and Noelle; seven great grandchildren; and a host of devoted friends. Ron is survived by a brother, Donald Osier of Minnepolis, MN; two sisters, Judy Glover of Charlotte, NC and Janice Nachbar of Matthews, NC. Ron and June were preceded in death by their parents, their granddaughter, Amanda; and Ron’s brothers, James and Gerald; and June’s sister, Marion. A Memorial Funeral Mass Celebrating the Lives of Ron and June Osier will be held Monday, November 21, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 319 Grayson Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30045, with the Rev. Fr. Albert W. Jowdy, V.F. serving as the Celebrant and assisted by the Parish Priests and Deacons. The family will receive friends after the Funeral Mass at the church. Iza Lily & Derek Morris

Iza Lily Morris and Derek Morris passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2011 at their home. Iza was the beloved daughter of Derek Morris and Sarah Snyder Morris. She was born November 28, 2004 in Decatur, GA. Iza was a student at Forsyth Academy and was in Mrs. Jessica Kennedy's 1st grade class. Iza was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Stephen Morris and her maternal aunt, Tanya Cox. Surviving are her mother, Sarah Morris; maternal grandparents, Raylene Snyder and Edward Snyder; paternal grandmother, Martha Morris; paternal great-grandmothers, Lucille Lane and Margie Morris; and also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Derek was born February 4, 1979 in Fulton County, GA to Martha Lane Morris and the late Stephen Bruce Morris. In addition to his father, Derek was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah. Surviving are his wife, Sarah Snyder Morris; mother, Martha Morris; maternal grandmother, Lucille Lane and paternal grandmother, Margie Morris; five siblings, Conan, Ingrid, Gabe, Michelle and Ethan; and also many other extended family members. A Service Celebrating the Lives of Iza and Derek will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at 2:00 P. M. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Betty Garrett of Lawrenceville; brother, Darrell Garrett of Hiawassee, GA sister, Jessie Ditmore of Lawrenceville, GA; two nephews, Carlton Garrett and Stacy Garrett; two nieces, Tiffany Garrett and Jessica Garrett and a host of cousins and friends. Yvonne Moore

Yvonne Vincent Moore, age 85, of Lawrenceville, Georgia died Saturday, November 12, 2011. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, L.E. Moore; daughter & son-in-law, Becky and Larry Thompson of Lawrenceville, GA; son & daughter-in-law, David and JoAnn Moore of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren, Julie Wasmund, Chris Thompson, Jason Moore, and David Moore; five great grandchildren, Brittany Thompson, Nicole Wasmund, Connor Wasmund, Tyler Moore, and Emily Grace; numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and cousins. Yvonne Vincent Moore was born on April 5, 1926, in Atlanta, GA to Ophelia Flowers Vincent and Homer Vincent. She graduated from Lilburn High School and truly was a native of Gwinnett County. She worked for Sears, Roebuck & Co., "Seasons of Fashion" in Tucker, "Formerly Yours" and "William's Dress Shop" in Lawrenceville. Yvonne loved to knit, crochet, cook for her family, and could make the most beautiful flower arrangements. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandchildren. This wonderful lady will be missed by all that knew her genuine smile and love of people. A Service Celebrating the Life of Yvonne V. Shirley Jean Obie, age 52, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. She is survived by her mother, Vera Obie Wright of Pensacola, FL, sister, Velisa Phillips of Atlanta, GA, brother, Edward Obie of Lawrenceville, sister, Angela Obie of Pensacola, Fl, nephews, Zachary Obie and Edward Obie II, niece, Angelica Phillips, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her father Charlie Obie, Jr. Shirley was a graduate of W.J Woodham High School in Pensacola, Fl and Michigan State University. Shirley was employed with Emory University for over 25 years and worked part time for Quest Diagnostics for 17 years. Delane Hall

Delane (Dee) Powell Hall, age 57, of Buford, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 31, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 24 years Chad Hall, son, Bryce Hall, father, Edgar Hill Powell, Sr., sister, Leanne Foxworth, all of Buford, GA, brother and sister in law, Hill and Linda Powell of Townsend, SC, half brother, Dr. Obie and Kerry Powell, uncle and aunt, Clyde and Linda Brooks of Brevard, NC, mother in law, Delores Hall of Tucker, GA, 3 sisters in law and brothers in law, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Joan Brooks Powell. Delane was born at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta. She graduated in 1972 from Gainesville High School. She received her Degree in Nursing from Hall School of Nursing now known as Brenau University in Gainesville. Delane and Chad met while both were working at Grady Memorial Hospital. She worked for numerous hospitals in the Atlanta area and retired in 1991 to become a mother. Delane loved to travel. A Funeral Mass to celebrate the life of Delane will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Buford, GA. Wilma Watson, age 79, of Grayson, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 29, 2011. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 55 years, Dale L. Watson, Sr. on December 10, 2008. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dale L. Watson, Jr. and his wife Sabrina of Dallas, GA; daughter, Lisa Chandler of Boerne, TX; six grandchildren, Erica Brown and her husband Andrew of Kennesaw, GA, Lindsey Blalack and her husband William of Dallas, GA, Lee Chandler and his wife Danielle of Boerne, TX, Chris Chandler of London, England, Brandi Watson and Leslie Watson both of FL; 9 great grandchildren, Holland Chandler, Joshua Chandler, Joe Simons, Van Asher Simons, Ava Brown, Tyler Brown, Landon Blalack, and Collin Blalack; sister-in-laws, Jean Clark of San Fernando, CA and Billie Jean Watson of St. Louis, Mo., and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of many friends. Mrs. Watson was born in Corning, Arkansas on April 15, 1932, to Ollie and Bertha Davis. She was a member of the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, Grayson, Georgia, and also was a member of Lydia Sunday School Class. Mrs. Watson enjoyed gardening and could grow some of the most beautiful flowers. She was also an avid quilter. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. This wonderful lady will be truly missed by all. The Service Celebrating the Life of Wilma Watson will be held Friday, November 4, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church with Mrs. Watson placed in state at the church at 12:30. The Rev. Joan Flowers

Mrs. Joan Blackmon Flowers, born July 24, 1931, of Snellville, formerly of Montgomery, Alabama, passed on October 23, 2011. She was preceded into death by her husband Morris D. Flowers and son Richard T. Flowers. Mrs. Flowers is survived by her children Bill Flowers and his wife Debbie of Lavonia, Donna Flowers of Hoschton, Elizabeth Flowers of Snellville and Michael Flowers and his wife Vicky of Dacula. She was blessed to have seven grandchildren, known to her as Granny, Rich Flowers and his wife Victoria, Krista Flowers, Justin Flowers and his wife Christen, Michelle Brown and her husband Andon, Marylynn Montano and her husband Brian, Kayla Flowers and Myka Flowers. Her greatest blessing was to have known that because of her life eleven great-grandchildren are now part of God's creation, known also to them as Granny: Drew, Kate, Emma, Leah, Reece, Cole, Brie, Keller, A. J., Samantha, and Anderson. Joan's immediate family, extended family and friends are proud to know that she was part of and a contributor to the "Greatest Generation." Our Mother and our Granny lived in a time with which all other times envy. A life spent in a career of giving to home, community, and country as a mother working to fill the duties of motherhood to the lives of her children. Being a Mother and a Wife, she never gave in to the frailties of being human. She was always present, always sacrificial to the start of a better tomorrow. It will be our cherished memories of loves and losses that soften the years and bring our truest nature to God. Our Mother and our Granny will be missed.
