LAWRENCEVILLE — In his first action since the Atlanta Braves optioned him back to Class AAA, Anthony Varvaro looked like the guy who struck out 16 batters in his innings nine innings.

Todd Redmond tossed his third straight seven inning game, allowing one run off five hits, striking out six and walking just two. The outing also earned Redmond his fourth win in seven starts in the Gwinnett Braves 4-2 win over Pawtucket.
