Waterlogged: Heavy rains dump 5 inches of rain in parts of county
Monday's storms dumped nearly five inches of rain on parts of Gwinnett County, causing minor flooding in several creeks, a National Weather Service hydrologist said. By midday, the western part of the county had received 41/2 inches of rain, while 21/2 inches had fallen on the eastern part of Gwinnett, hydrologist Kent Frantz said.
