Chamber vows to inspire the entrepreneurial spirit
"Make no little plans. They have no magic to stir men's blood and probably will not themselves be realized."These words were spoken by Daniel Burnham, one of Chicago's most famous architects and urban planners at the turn of the 20th century. It was that attitude that inspired generations to invest time, talent and treasure into a city and region that has emerged as of the world's largest local economies.
Gwinnett County sets its eye on China
The Gwinnett Chamber economic development team recently conducted its 2010 global business mission to China and Korea. Nearly 20 business delegates accompanied Gwinnett Chamber leaders over the course of 10 days as each sought opportunities for global expansion and foreign direct investment. The mission included international trade shows, one-on-one meetings and several opportunities for initial connections that would spur future growth and development. Most importantly, though, were the accomplishments realized while on this business mission to the rising super power of the East.
