Erassa shines at nationals
rayson runner Kirubel Erassa made a strong claim as one of the best runners ever from Georgia. Erassa placed eighth at the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Morley Field in San Diego, Calif., an event that featured the top runners in the nation.

At the awards ceremony for the Class AAAAA cross country state championships, Kirubel Erassa shook the hand of each one of his competitors on the podium.The Grayson runner had just won the individual state title an hour earlier, but his coach was more impressed by the way he handled himself in victory than the blistering time he ran.
