Greater Atlanta Christian seniors commit to college football programs

Three Greater Atlanta Christian senior football players — Parker Polhill, Trevor Dedecker and Mitchell Shea — have made commitments recently to college football programs.

Polhill, a defensive back, committed to Furman. He was a two-year starter on GAC teams that went 20-6 over his two seasons and he set a school record with at 70-yard punt return for a touchdown. He is the son of Rudy and Rhonda Polhill.

Dedecker, a linebacker, committed to Birmingham Southern. He ranked third on the team in tackles in 2012 and overcame a potential season-ending injury to contribute on both sides of the ball in 2013. He is the son of Tom and Robin Dedecker.

Shea, a defensive lineman, has committed to Berry. Shea played on both sides of the ball for GAC and led the Spartans with five sacks in 2013. He is the son of Mark and Susan Shea.
