Local pharmacy offers new diabetes self-management program

LAWRENCEVILLE — A local pharmacy has launched a new program for diabetes self-management.

TotalCare Pharmacy in Lawrenceville has been named an accredited diabetes education program by the American Association of Diabetes Educators, offering Gwinnett residents increased access to critical diabetes education services.

The TotalCare Diabetes & Wellness Center will assist in the collaborative process through which those with diabetes or at risk gain information and skills to successfully self-manage the disease.

The center will conduct a free diabetes education class from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the Centerville Community Center at 3025 Bethany Church Road in Snellville. The class is open to the public.
