Gwinnett woman seriously injured in Virginia bus crash

A bus bound for Doraville crashed early Monday morning in Virginia injuring four people, including a woman from Duluth.

The commercial bus with 54 passengers onboard veered off a snowy Interstate 95 about 30 miles south of Washington and flipped onto its side, Virginia State Police said in a statement.

Four passengers on the Princess Tours Inc bus suffered serious injuries. The driver, 50-year old Quilong Xioa, has been charged with reckless driving, and a police spokeswoman said, "The speed was too fast for the road conditions."

According to Fox5, Maxine Jackson, 37, of Duluth, was one of the four injured passengers. Her niece told the television station that her rib and spine are fractured.

WSB-TV said Shanora Moore, of Lawrenceville, was also on the bus.

The bus was coming from New York and was due to arrive in Doraville at 12:30 p.m. Monday.
