Lilburn man scratches $5 million lottery prize

DULUTH — A Lilburn man is $5 million richer after scratching an instant lottery ticket.

John Strickland Jr. claimed his prize Monday, March 10, at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Duluth.

The winning ticket for the instant game Maximum Green was sold at the BP station at 3739 Stone Mountain Highway in Snellville.

Maximum Green includes top prizes of $1 million and $5 million. Players can enter non-winning tickets in the monthly Maximum Green Extra Chance Drawing to win one of 10 monthly prizes of $10,000.
