National Weather Service issues freeze warning through Friday

A second freeze warning has been issued this week by the National Weather Service, this time the alert runs from 10 p.m. Thursday to 10 p.m. on Friday.

Temperatures are expected to fall below freezing after midnight, which may damage or kill early spring vegetation.

The forecast for Friday afternoon is sunny skies with a high of 65. Saturday’s forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of rain in the afternoon with a high of 66 degrees, and a 90 percent chance of rain Saturday night.

The high chance of rain continues on Sunday with a high of 65 degrees.
