The Gwinnett Career Center’s roof repair is taking longer than expected, officials said, leaving the Georgia Department of Labor location closed.
The career center on Beaver Ruin Road in Norcross closed Feb. 24 for roof repairs.
While contractors hired by landlord Northwestern Gwinnett County Facilities Corporation I of Buford originally expected to be able to reopen the facility Monday, officials announced Thursday that the work will take longer than anticipated.
Officials have not set a new date for the facility to reopen, but people can check for updates at www.gdol.ga.gov.
In the meantime, customers can apply for a job or file unemployment insurance claims online or go to another GDOL career center.
Locations in the surrounding area include: the North Metro Career Center in the Toco Hills Shopping Center at 2943 North Druid Hills Road, Atlanta; the DeKalb County Career Center at 3879 Covington Highway, Decatur; and the Gainesville Career Center at 2756 Atlanta Highway, Gainesville.
