Red, White and BOOM! Fireworks and Bruce in the USA
The city of Norcross will hold its Independence Day celebration featuring fireworks and Bruce in the USA, a Bruce Springsteen cover band, Thursday, July 3, in Thrasher Park. Maxwell Taylor Man of 1000 Voices will open the event at 6 p.m., followed by Bruce in the USA at 7:30. A fireworks display will be set off at dusk, with live music to follow. The city of Lawrenceville will host its ninth annual Prelude celebration at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 3, on the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse lawn, located at 185 Crogan St. The event will feature a production of the classic Broadway musical “South Pacific,” presented by the Aurora Theatre. The musical will be followed by fireworks. The event is free to attend. Lawn seating begins at 5:30 for the 7:30 p.m. performance. Lake Lanier’s Fourth of July Weekend Celebration
Lake Lanier Islands Resort will kick off its four-day-long Fourth of July celebration on Thursday, July 3. Live music includes performances from Wylie Street Coyotes on the Big Beach Floating Stage from 3 to 7 p.m. and Johnny Summers at Sunset Cove from 5 to 9 p.m. On Friday, the Red, White & Blue Fourth of July Party hosted by Kicks 101.5 will be held from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Sunset Cove. Entertainment includes a live remote from Kicks 101.5 from 4 to 7 p.m. Second Hand Swagger takes the stage from 3 to 4:15 p.m., followed by Convoy performing live from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Fireworks will light up the skies over the lake beginning at 10 p.m. The celebration continues Saturday with live music performances from Wylie Street Coyotes on the Big Beach Floating Stage from 1 to 5 p.m., Gray Sartin at Gianni’s from 5 to 9 p.m. and a full day of performances at Sunset Cove with Ashley Rivera taking the stage from 1 to 5 p.m. and Bama Gamblers from 6 to 10 p.m. After dark, Paramount Pictures’ “Captain America” will be presented as the weekend’s Beach Flick on Big Beach. Auburn Independence Day Celebration
Downtown Auburn will host an Independence Day celebration Friday, July 4. The event will be held from 5 to 11 p.m. and will include entertainment, musical by Ashley Rivera, chainsaw art demonstrations, rides, crafts, food, and more. Braselton festival, parade and fireworks
Downtown Braselton plans to celebrate the Fourth of July by hosting a festival, parade and fireworks Friday. Families can enjoy the music of Ivan Duke between 4 and 6 p.m. as well as a performance by Southern Accent beginning at 7 p.m. in the downtown park on Harrison Street. The event will also include crafts, food and children’s activities. The patriotic parade will assemble at the Braselton Tech Center and travel into the downtown area and park beginning at 6 p.m. Decorated Army veteran, Command Sergeant Major Bart Womack, is the grand marshal. Fireworks will be launched at dusk. Prime viewing areas will be the West Jackson Primary School, Hoschton Park or in downtown Braselton. The festival, parade and fireworks are free to all who attend. Fabulous Fourth Family Fun Night
The Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center will host an Independence Day celebration at 7 p.m. Friday, July 4. Food and drinks will be available for purchase and a screening of the movie “Frozen” will begin at 9 p.m. Admission is $5 per vehicle for GEHC members, $10 per vehicle for non-members and $15 per bus or RV. The Mall of Georgia will host its Fabulous Fourth celebration beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, July 4, in the Village Amphitheatre.
