The Crystal Clear Guitar Ensemble, made up of six young Buford residents, will join Spirit Wind recording artists David Rose and Russell Ferrara for a concert at 7 p.m. June 21 at Buford First United Methodist Church.

The ensemble’s members are all middle or elementary school students who have been performing together since the 2013 Childbloom summer camp, a musical education program run by Derwyn Browne in Buford.

Amilyn Gurta of Jones Middle School, Maggi Mitchell and Phoenix Pennington of Osbourne Middle School, Elise Page of Fort Daniel Elementary, Victoria Lewis of Patrick Elementary and Abhinav Vishwanath of Rivertrail Middle School trained with Ferrara at last year’s summer camp and performed with him at his Buford concert last year as well. Browne continued to coach the group as an ensemble and formally established them as Crystal Clear in September 2013.

Childbloom has a summer camp this year as well, running from June 16 through June 20 at Fort Daniel Children’s Academy in Dacula. Attendance is open to children ages seven through 13 who already play the guitar, as well as beginner students.

This year’s concert will take place at 285 E. Main St. in Buford. To purchase tickets, visit www.roseferrarageorgia.brownpapertickets.com or call Childbloom Georgia Northeast at 678-889-2177.
