Sprouts Farmers Market is opening its first Atlanta-area location on June 18 in the Snellville area at The Shoppes at Webb Gin.
Headquartered in Phoenix, Ariz., Sprouts offers fresh, natural and organic foods and caters to consumers interested in health and wellness. It was recently named one of the top five supermarket chains by Consumer Reports and, with the Snellville opening, will operate more than 175 stores in 10 states.
The grand opening, which starts at 6 a.m., will include a variety of festivities and giveaways, including a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by Sprouts’ president and CEO Doug Sanders. The store’s first 200 shoppers will receive 20 percent off their initial total purchase, and everyone in line before the doors open will receive samples of muffins and coffee. Every shopper will receive a free reusable bag with their purchase and the store will have several dollar deals throughout.
Sprouts is also giving away a $1,000 donation to one of two local organizations. Fans of the Snellville Facebook page can vote for either The Community Garden @ Snellville or the J.M. Tull-Gwinnett Family YMCA to receive the donation. The organization with the most votes will receive the $1,000 check at the store’s preview party June 17.
The week following the new store’s opening will also have special offers for shoppers. On June 21, the first 100 customers to make a purchase will receive a coupon booklet for five free sandwiches and 20 golden tickets will be hidden on items throughout the store. Customers who find a golden ticket will receive $20 off their purchase. On June 22, every 15th customer will receive a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $15 or more, and on June 28 the first 100 customers to make a purchase will receive a coupon booklet for five free sandwiches.
The store will be located at 1250 Scenic Highway in Lawrenceville.
