Rain postpones summer concerts in Duluth, Snellville

Saturday’s rainy weather postponed summer concerts in both Snellville and Duluth.

Metro Jazz Club was scheduled to play last Saturday as a part of Snellville’s Live on the Lawn Concert Series. The 17-piece band is scheduled to make up the concert on Sept. 13 on the Town Green in front of City Hall, located at 2342 Oak Road in Snellville.

The next Live on the Lawn Concert Series, which is sponsored by About Skin Care, will be on Aug. 23 with the band Electric Avenue.

Duluth’s Summer Stage Concert Series featuring Bicho Brothers was also scheduled for this past Saturday but had to be postponed due to the inclement weather. The make-up date is still to be determined, but the city is working to get the concert rescheduled and will continue to provide updates.

The next performance in Duluth’s Summer Stage Concert Series is scheduled for Aug. 16 and will feature the ’80s tribute band Members Only. The concert will be on the Duluth Town Green and Ampitheater Stage from 8 to 10 p.m.
