Thunderbolts win Gwinnett County Swim League championship meet

ATLANTA — The Thunderbolts tracked down previous leader Flowers Crossing in the final session Sunday and won the Gwinnett County Swim League's championship meet at Georgia Tech.

The local club, which swims out of Olde Savannah Square in Suwanee, scored 1,725 points for its first county championship since 2011. It was the Thunderbolts' seventh all-time county title.

Daniel Park saw its two-year reign as county champion end, but it did surge into second place with 1,703.5 points. Flowers Crossing finished third at 1,634.5.

Lansmoore (1,578) was fourth and Wild Timber (1,189) was fifth.

Morning View (1,178.5), Spalding Corners (1,019.5), Chateau Elan (978), Summit Chase (920) and Edinburgh (919) rounded out the top 10.
