Severe weather affecting blood donations
According to the American Red Cross, winter can often be a difficult time to obtain blood donations because of inclement weather. Severe winter weather across much of the U.S. is already affecting blood collections. In Gwinnett, there will be a blood drive held from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Bruster’s Ice Cream, 2324 Scenic Highway in Snellville. Participating donors will receive a free pint of ice cream. For more information on donating blood and blood drives nearby, visit www.redcrossblood.org.
