SNELLVILLE — Local business owners can get some tips with Snellville’s upcoming 2014 Entrepreneur Summit.
The program, set to begin with networking at 6 p.m. Jan. 14 at City Hall, will feature Benny StaRomana, a University of Georgia business consultant who won the Partnership Gwinnett Amazing Entrepreneur contest.
StaRomana won the 2011 Partnership prize — the first in the now annual contest — for his consulting practice specializing in strategic planning and business process improvement. Last August, he began work at UGA’s Small Business Development Council, where he helps other entrepreneurs.
“As 2014 gets started, who better to inform your business plan than an Amazing Entrepreneur?” Snellville economic development manager Eric G. Van Otteren, said of the city’s annual summit, which is offered in collaboration with the Snellville Entrepreneur Council.
“Snellville area entrepreneurs have access to resources that can change the course of their business,” he added. “This summit may be a beginning point or a realignment point for you and your business.”
Attendees can also learn more about city resources, including the Snellville Business Toolbox, mentoring and peer advisory boards.
The $10 registration fee can be processed through PayPal, credit card or paid at the door.
