Valentine’s Day this year falls on a perfect day of the week — Friday. Here are some events where you can treat the ones you love.

Friday, Feb. 14

Daddy Daughter Dance

A dance event for fathers and daughters will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at Pinckneyville Park Community Recreation Center, located at 4650 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Norcross. Alternative to Valentine’s Day Show

Eddie Owen Presents the Alternative to Valentine’s Day Show, featuring musicians Jan Smith, Peter Vogl, Michael Doke, Lesa MacGregor and special guest Carmen Ford. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 at the Red Clay Theatre, located at 3116 Main St. in Duluth. Ticket prices range from $15 to $20 per person. Valentine Dinner Dance

The Gwinnett Historic Courthouse is hosting a night of dinner and dancing for St. Valentine’s. Appetizers will be served and there will be a buffet dinner followed by dancing, with a local Cuban band providing the rhythm. Appetizers will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the event will run until 10p.m. The courthouse is at 185 W. Crogan St. in Lawrenceville. Tickets are $45 for individuals and $80 for couples. Valentine’s Wine and Dine

Enjoy Valentine’s Day in historic downtown Norcross. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., there will be a variety of special events to celebrate the holiday. The town judge will be in front of the coffee shop renewing vows and performing marriage ceremonies. Take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage, share a candlelit dinner or shop for the perfect gift. Weddings at the Historic Courthouse

If you want to get married on Valentines Day, the Gwinnett Magistrate Court and Probate Court have teamed up and donated their time to perform free weddings at the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse at 185 W. Crogan St. in Lawrenceville. Doors open at 10 a.m. There will be two rooms decorated for the event with seating for guests. Marriages will be performed in the order individuals arrive. Heart Throbs

Heart Throbs is a collection of short pieces about the struggle to find romantic love, presented this Valentine’s Day weekend at Lionheart Theatre, located at 10 Britt Ave. in Norcross. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday show is at 2 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $12 for seniors. Admission prices include a dessert and beverage. Be Mine, Valentine Open Mic

Performers of all ages and backgrounds will be sharing their Valentine’s themed songs, poems, skits and stories at 106 West Open Mic, located at 106 W. Athens St. in Winder. My Jazzy Valentine
