Mill Creek's Sciara, Otiwu excited about new Kennesaw State football program

Independently of one another, the eyes of Andrew Sciara and Ben Otiwu lit up when they talked about playing for Kennesaw State.

The Mill Creek seniors became part of the school's first signing class, and to hear Sciara tell it, part of a strong first group.

“I feel like we have a lot of good players,” Sciara said of the Owls' first signing class. “We will have the ability to compete.”

Sciara said he was already counting down the days until the 2015 opener Sept. 3 against East Tennessee State University.

“We play in the Big South so there will be plenty of good teams,” he said.

Teammate Otiwu made his final choice Monday night, choosing Kennesaw as much for its football as for its nursing program.

“It was the academic part of it,” said Otiwu, who added he was excited about playing with Sciara. “It was really an (easy) choice when I saw they were trying to bring in quality guys.”
