Solomon Poole dismissed from Georgia Tech basketball team

Guard Solomon Poole has been dismissed from Georgia Tech's men's basketball team due to “conduct and accountability issues,” head coach Brian Gregory announced Monday.

The 6-foot sophomore from Jacksonville, Fla., will remain enrolled at Tech and complete his academic requirements for the spring semester. Poole played in 14 games this season, starting five, and averaged 6.4 points and 2.0 assists. He has not played since Jan. 7 at Duke.

His dismissal opens up even more opportunities for a pair of Gwinnett guards on the Yellow Jackets, Corey Heyward of Peachtree Ridge and Ron Wamer of Mill Creek.
