Brookwood running back Josh Brown and Archer defensive back John Gillis committed to Navy over the weekend.
“Proud to say I am committed to play football at the United States Naval Academy next year!!,” Brown posted on Twitter on Sunday.
The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Brown tore his ACL in the first half of the first game of season and missed the rest of the year. As a junior, Brown rushed for 688 yards and six touchdowns and made 22 tackles and one interception on defense.
The 6-foot, 175-pound Gillis had 64 tackles and three interceptions this season to help the Tigers win the Region 8-AAAAAA championship.
Gwinnett had two football players on Navy's roster this season — linebacker William Tuider of Mountain View and defensive lineman Camaran Henson of Brookwood.
