QuikTrip is tying out a new concept in Peachtree Corners.
City leaders were on hand Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the opening of the convenience store chain’s new location on Peachtree Corners Circle, near Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.
The store, part of the company’s “Generation 3” concept store project, has more entrances and expanded food offerings, including made-to-order pizzas, flatbreads, pretzels, smoothies and ice creams in its “QT Kitchen.” Customers order these items—and a variety of drinks and breakfast treats—with a self-service touch screen.
“It’s very impressive,” said Mayor Mike Mason, in a news release from the city. “We are delighted that QuikTrip chose to re- invest in Peachtree Corners. I’m sure this location will be very successful.”
The store was built on the site of one of the company’s older stores, but QuikTrip decided to move the old building and build a bigger and better one, which took 16 weeks, according to Patrick Conner, QuikTrip’s real estate project manager.
“This is our 12th Generation 3 store in the Atlanta market,” Conner explained in the release. “The Peachtree Corners store is 5,773 square feet and has a vertical 8 canopy providing a 16-car service. In addition to our new fresh food offered, the new building has entrances on three sides to allow customers easier access in and out of the store.”
The store, which is the second in the city, is located at 3229 Peachtree Corners Circle.
