NORCROSS — Police are searching for a garishly dressed man who burglarized a Norcross pharmacy Wednesday, making out with unspecified quantities of several prescription drugs.
Norcross police spokesman Lt. Bill Grogan said the suspect — described as a light-skinned male wearing an orange toboggan, brown sweatshirt and pink or red plaid pants — broke into the Norcross Pharmacy on Beaver Ruin Road at about 5 a.m. Wednesday.
“The suspect was familiar with the pharmacy layout because he went directly to the area in the rear of the store” where he grabbed pills including Percocet, methadone and Ritalin, Grogan said. Percocet and methadone are narcotic painkillers. Ritalin is drug that treats attention-deficit disorder.
Following the break-in, the suspect fled to a black Toyota pickup truck “driven by someone else who acted as a lookout,” Grogran said.
