Nurse

3D Blu-ray (R)

Movie: 3 out of 4 stars

Disc: 3 out of 4 stars

The very definition of “guilty pleasure,” “Nurse” is a mash-up of “Death Wish,” “Fatal Attraction,” “American Psycho,” “Dexter” and ’70s exploitation, blood-splattered B-movies. Paz de la Huerta (“Boardwalk Empire”) plays title character Abby, a by-the-book nurse by day who lures would-be cheating husbands into her lair at night. Abby’s mission changes when she develops a girl-crush on new hire Danni (Katrina Bowden) whose resistance to Abby’s advances results in unrelenting retribution. Cheesy (but in a good way), extremely graphic and totally off the rails, the movie is an audio/visual feast and unforgettable thanks to Huerta’s thoroughly unglued performance.
