DAWSONVILLE — Dawson County scored two runs in the bottom of the 10th to hand Buford its first loss of the season, 3-2 on Wednesday.
The Wolves (17-1, 13-1) had scored a run in the top of the 10th to take a 2-1 lead, however they were unable to close out the Tigers.
Jake Higginbotham started for Buford and took a no decision after working seven innings and striking out 13. Higginbotham also contributed two hits. Austin Wilhite had two hits and drove in both runs for the Wolves.
Lanier 7, Stephens County 5
SUGAR HILL — Matthew Ramsay’s double in the bottom of the sixth gave Lanier the lead and the Longhorns made it hold up as they defeated Stephens County 7-5 in Region 8-AAAA on Wednesday.
Lanier (13-6, 7-3) trailed 5-4 when Ramsay connected on his game winning hit. Kam Doster pitched at complete game and struck out eight to notch the win.
T.J. Richardson and Kristoff Rietig each had two hits for the Longhorns.
Dacula 10, Berkmar 0
DACULA — Dacula defeated Berkmar 10-0 in five innings in Region 8-AAAAAA action on Wednesday. M.J. Hawkins (4-2) pitched all five innings to get the win for the Falcons (12-8, 6-4). Nick Mollica had two hits and drove in two runs while Cole Hays added to hits to lead Dacula.
Mountain View 4, Habersham Central 3
LAWRENCEVILLE — Mountain View improved to 17-3 overall and 8-2 in Region 7-AAAAAA with a 4-3 win over Habersham Central on Wednesday.
Brendan Munson pitched five innings to get the win. Munson struck out four Raiders and Ben Utley picked up his fifth save in relief for the Bears.
Utley also added the offensive firepower with three hits and an RBI. Forrest Girardeau had two hits for Mountain View.
Grayson 8, Brookwood 4
SNELLVILLE — Drew Buschman pitched six innings to lead Grayson to a 8-4 win over Brookwood in Region 8-AAAAAA on Wednesday.
Buschman improved to 4-1 on the season as the Rams improved to 13-7 overall and 9-1 in the region.
David Stinson had four hits and Joseph Blankenship had three to lead Grayson. Tyler Knight, Colton Harrelson and Chase Brice each had two hits to help the Rams offense.
Peachtree Ridge 15, Meadowcreek 0
NORCROSS — Peachtree Ridge pouned out 14 hits as the Lions defeated Meadowcreek 15-0 on Wednesday.
Steven Tomlinson and Michael Swint each drove in three runs for Peachtree Ridge (14-6, 7-3). Drew Wharton and Nick Gatewood each had two hits and drove in two runs.
Steven Bower pitched four innings to earn the win, striking out eight. Nick Cioffi pitched an inning and struck out the side.
Norcross 10, Collins Hill 0
NORCROSS — Norcross defeated Collins Hill 10-0 in five innings in a Region 7-AAAAAA contest.
Jordyn Thomas (2-3) was the winning pitcher for the Blue Devils (12-8, 5-5) tossing all five innings and allowing only two hits and striking out four Eagles.
Jacob Gassert and Trevor Craport each had two hits and drove in two runs for Norcross. Justin Henderson also had two hits.
Archer 14, Central 2
LAWRENCEVILLE — Archer defeated Central Gwinnett 14-2 in Region 8-AAAAAA on Wednesday.
Nathaniel Howard picked up the win striking out five Black Knights.
Curtis Terry and Rhian Mann each had two hits and drove in three runs for the Tigers (9-10, 4-5). E.J. Ranel added three hits and Sean Fitzpatrick had two hits and drove in two runs.
Jefferson 8, Wesleyan 6
LAWRENCEVILLE — Jefferson defeated Wesleyan 8-6 in a game played at Georgia Gwinnett College on Wednesday. Will Collins led the Wolves (9-8) with three hits, while Sam McWhorter and Trey Mannion each had a pair of singles.
Wesleyan 4, Marist 1
NORCROSS — Wesleyan defeated Marist to improve to 13-4 on the season.
Sophia and Savannah Strickland won in singles while Kaitlin English and Leila Jordan along, with Katie McLaughlin and Katie Van Laeke winning in doubles for the Wolves.

NORCROSS — Wesleyan dropped a 5-0 decision to Marist on Wednesday afternoon.
Wesleyan 14, Holy Innocents 14
NORCROSS — Wesleyan and Holy Innocents battled to a 14-14 tie on Wednesday.
The Wolves (6-5-1) received a strong game on defense from Ashlee Fincher and goalie Meredith DiStasi made 15 saves. Carson Guess led Wesleyan with three goals.
Pinecrest Academy 4, Providence Christian 0
LILBURN — Providence Christian fell to 5-7 on the season as the Storm dropped a 4-0 match to Pinecrest Academy on Wednesday.
Providence Christian 1, Pinecrest Academy 0
LILBURN — Anna Bougas had the only goal as Providence Christian defeated Pinecrest Academy 1-0 on Wednesday.
The win improved the Storm’s season record to 8-4.
