One of Gwinnett’s most wanted has turned herself in.

Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Deputy Shannon Volkodav said Lisset Polanco Paredes, 24, turned herself in Monday afternoon at the Gwinnett County jail. The woman was one of the department’s “most wanted” after a Jan. 15 incident in which she allegedly left her 4-year-old son home alone.

“The accused did intentionally and willingly leave the victim … alone in an apartment, telling him to stay in the apartment and that no one would be returning for him,” a warrant for her arrest said. “The victim was found wandering alone, crying and terrified.”

Paredes, whose address is listed at an apartment complex on Quails Lake Village Lane in Norcross, has been charged with first-degree cruelty to children.

Paredes was included in the Daily Post’s first listing of the sheriff’s department’s most wanted criminals. The feature began March 30 and runs on Sundays.
