Bailey Tardy fared very well over the weekend against a field of professional golfers.

The Norcross junior, already a two-time Daily Post golfer of the year, made the cut and tied for 27th in the season-ending Symetra Tour Championship, held at LPGA International's Jones Course in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Symetra Tour is the feeder system for the LPGA Tour.

Tardy, who just turned 17, received a sponsor's invitation into the tourney. She finished as low amateur and was one of only two amateurs in the field.

The Georgia commitment shot 76 in the first round, but followed it up with a 72 to make the cut by a stroke. After rain washed out Saturday's play, Tardy shot 72 and 70 in a 36-hole finish on Sunday to finish at 2-over-par 290.

If she wasn't an amateur, Tardy would have earned $1,171 for her finish.
