STONE MOUNTAIN — After much needed renovations, ART Station Contemporary Arts Center and Theatre Company re-opens its doors Saturday with a “Big Reveal” celebration.
At 7 p.m., the venue will reveal the upgrades in the 1913 Trolley Car Station that has served as ART Station’s home for 28 years.
Improvements to the building include new seating in the theater, stage lighting system, a sound system, a cabaret theatre performance space, re-designed bar and café area, a fresh entrance hall, an assembly space in the upstairs gallery and electrical improvements.
The party has a blue jeans and bow ties theme, featuring three musical groups playing throughout the building. The food of the evening is Gullah Gourmet of Charleston, S.C., Atlanta International Foods and Snead’s Bar B Que.
Tickets for the event are $20 per person, which includes admission, food and one bar token. ART Station is located at 5384 Manor Drive in Stone Mountain Village.
