• Atmosphere: Jet’s Pizza serves carryout and delivery orders within a five-mile radius of the store. Customers can call in an order, place one online, or place an order in person. Bench seating is available for customers who place an order at the store and want to wait on it there.

• Menu: Robertson left his previous corporate job with Yum! Brands, which among other properties owns Pizza Hut, to own a Jet’s franchise for a simple reason.

“I picked Jet’s Pizza to be an owner of because of the food quality,” Robertson said. “The pizza is great. So when I compare us to a Papa John’s, Domino’s, Little Caesar’s, Pizza Hut, there’s a big difference in quality.”

The pizza dough is made daily in the store, as well as the sauce. The vegetables are cut fresh daily instead of coming out of a can.

The deep dish pizza is the most popular item, Robertson said. The deep dish options start at a small, six-slice pizza topped with sauce and mozzarella cheese for $7.99. Size options go up to a 30-slice party tray. Individual toppings, including pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions and black olives, start at 99 cents extra on a small.

Jet’s features some specialty pizzas, including BBQ chicken, BLT, chicken Parmesan, All Meaty, veggie and the Jet 10 — a pizza with 10 toppings.

Crusts on the pizzas can be flavorized for free. Options available are Cajun, poppy seed, sesame seed, shredded Parmesan, butter, garlic, Romano and Turbo Crust, which is a combination of butter, garlic and Romano.

Customers can also order pizzas with hand-tossed and thin crusts.

Jet’s also offers an array of side items for its pizzas. Wings and boneless chicken are available in plain, BBQ, honey BBQ, mild and hot. Salads are available in antipasto, chef, garden and Greek varieties with the option to add chicken and a choice of seven dressings. Others sidekicks include breadsticks and cinnamon sticks.

Like many pizza places, Jet’s offers sub sandwiches. For $5.99, customers can choose from varieties including Italian, steak and cheese, chicken Parmesan, pizza and veggie.

Jet’s Boats are kind of a sub-pizza hybrid, offering pizza dough filled with ingredients. The regular boats are filled with mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce and toppings, and deli boats are available with the sub toppings and salad dressing.

• Things you might not know: Robertson has given out 25,000 coupons for a free large pizza in the community. He is also planning to open two more Jet’s Pizza locations in north Georgia — one in Cumming and another in Gainesville.
