Gwinnett police, firefighters to host annual public safety festival

LAWRENCEVILLE — Gwinnett County police offers and firefighters are coming together for their fourth annual Public Safety Fall Festival and then squaring off against each other in a softball game at Coolray Field.

The free festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Gwinnett Braves stadium at 2500 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville. It is set to include fire truck, police motorcycle and helicopter displays, as well as safety training demonstrations, activities for kids, pet adoptions and more. Community safety partners will have booths and activities for families.

“This festival demonstrates Gwinnett County’s commitment to public safety for our residents,” Lt. Colin Rhoden, spokesman for Gwinnett County Fire, said in a news release. “This fun, free, educational event will feature the best of Gwinnett.”
