Snellville to host public safety night

SNELLVILLE — The Snellville Police Department will host a free public safety event Tuesday night.

Held from 6 to 8 p.m. on the Snellville Town Greene, Snellville Public Safety Night will include demonstrations covering self defense and how to manage a traffic stop, as well as road, firearm and home safety. The police department’s K-9 unit will offer several demonstrations, and police vehicles “with anti-crime accessories, tactical equpiment and weapons” will be on display.

Representatives from Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services, the district attorney’s office and the Department of Family and Child Services will also be present.

The event is free and will have inflatables and a treasure hunt to entertain kids.
