ATLANTA — Trash can lids and plastic barrels have never been the same since “Stomp” appeared on the scene.

Thursday through Sept. 29, the internationally acclaimed show comes to the Fabulous Fox Theatre.

The show originated from street performers in the UK. Now, the show has traveled to more than 50 countries, in front of more than 24 million people.

The performers “make a rhythm out of anything we can get our hands on that makes a sound,” co-founder and director Luke Cresswell said.

Instead of traditional percussion instruments, the performers use everyday household and industrial objects, like dustbins, tea chests, radiator hoses, boots and hub caps, to make music.

Tickets range from $25 to $60. They can be purchased www.Foxtheatre.org, by calling 855-285-8499, the Fox Theatre Ticket Office, all Atlanta area Whole Food Markets and Ticket Alternative outlets. The Fox Theatre will honor all tickets that have been previously purchased by Theater of the Stars subscribers and single ticket buyers.
