Police respond to shooting in Snellville

SNELLVILLE — Gwinnett Police responded to the scene of a shooting -- not far from where a triple homicide occurred Sunday evening.

Cpl. Jake Smith said the incidents were not related.

Wednesday’s shooting at 4491 Raptor Place in unincorporated Snellville was called in by the victim, who reported he had been shot in the head, at about 5:30 p.m. An ambulance responded and transported the victim to an area hospital. His injury is considered non-life threatening.

Detectives believe the shooting was the result of an escalating argument. The suspect was not in custody as of 7:40 p.m.

Sunday’s shooting occurred at 4630 Anderson-Livsey Lane, also in unincorporated Snellville.
