Gwinnett resident promoted to COO of Atlanta company

ATLANTA — Hotel Equities, an Atlanta-based hotel management, development and consulting firm, recently promoted Gwinnett resident Brad Rahinsky to the position of chief operating officer.

With more than 20 years of experience in hospitality operations, sales and marketing and business development, the Dacula resident sets the strategic path for Hotel Equities, overseeing all aspects of the organizations day-to-day activities with the assistance of a support team. Prior to joining Hotel Equities in early 2012, Rahinsky’s experience includes several executive level positions with multiple brands and hotel management firms.

Area health system recognized for innovation in information technology

GAINESVILLE — Northeast Georgia Health System is again among the InformationWeek 500, an annual listing of the nation’s most innovative users of business technology. NGHS also made the list in 2011 and 2012 and is this year recognized for its health information and image exchange project, HealtheConnection, which was implemented in November 2012. According to a news release, NGHS spearheaded an initiative to deliver real-time, relevant clinical data to clinicians at the point of care, eliminating organizational or geographic boundaries.

InformationWeek identifies and honors the nation’s most innovative users of information technology with its annual 500 listing and also tracks the technology, strategies, investments and administrative practices of American companies.

Lawrenceville resident recognized for outstanding performance

LAWRENCEVILLE — A financial advisor with a local Edward Jones branch has been recognized by the company for outstanding performance.

Ronald G. Lee Jr. recently received the firm’s Zeke McIntyre Pioneer Award, which recognizes new financial advisors who achieve high levels of success early in their careers.

Lee, a Lawrenceville resident, was one of only 291 of the firm’s more than 12,000 financial advisors to receive the award. The award is named for Zeke McIntyre, who opened the firm’s first branch office in 1957.

Lee also received the Spirit of Partnership Award for outstanding performance during 2012.
