Library to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

LAWRENCEVILLE — Need a little spice in your life?

On Thursday, the Gwinnett County Public Library is hosting the Excursions Series Latin Music Concert with a Pachanga and Dance Celebration on the Student Center Patio at Georgia Gwinnett College.

This event is part of the annual Fall Into the Arts celebration. The Excursions Series is a regular concert series collaboration with Georgia Gwinnett College featuring international, traditional and classical music performed by local musicians.

This event is being held in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. At 6:30 p.m., there is a free salsa demonstration. The performance by Orquesta MaCuba begins at 7:30 p.m.

Seats at the event are available on a first come, first serve basis. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blanket for the concert.

Georgia Gwinnett College is located at 1000 University Center Lane in Lawrenceville.

Fall Into the Arts is an annual celebration of the literary, performing and visual arts that “seeks to foster a sense of community in Gwinnett County through jointly sponsored programs and to encourage a lifelong love of the arts, literacy and learning.”
