DULUTH — Staff with the Gwinnett Sexual Assault Center, who assist victims of sexual abuse, have become victims of harassment.
According to a Gwinnett County Police Department incident report, a caller who initially reported she had been sexually abused by her uncle has continued to call the Duluth center over the past few months, cursing at on-call workers and leaving harassing messages. Staff initially tried to assist the caller, who reportedly became defensive and would hang up.
Police have identified a possible address for the caller and are continuing to investigate the incidents.
