LAWRENCEVILLE — The Gwinnett County Police Department will host a gun safety seminar later this month.
Scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, the public seminar will be led by personnel from the department’s academy and cover topics including “Georgia carry and deadly force laws, how to obtain a carry permit, personal defense and types of weapons and their use,” officials said. The event will be held in the auditorium of the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, located at 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville.
Pre-registration is not available but seating is limited. Those interested are asked to arrive early. Attendees will pass through a security checkpoint and will not be allowed to bring firearms into the building.
