LAWRENCEVILLE — Music Time Learning Center thinks it’s time to show some appreciation for its teachers.
The nonprofit is hosting its second annual Big Band Bash at Fairview Presbyterian Church 6 p.m. Saturday with Atlanta Seventeen, a 17-piece orchestra and swing group, taking stage to celebrate the teachers who keep the organizition going.
There is a free swing dance lesson at 6:30 p.m., plus activities for the children, including inflatables.
To raise additional funds, Music Time is holding a silent auction and raffles throughout the evening. One of the grand prizes includes a three-night stay at the Beau Ridge Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Miss., with round-trip airfare.
Music Time is a nonprofit organization that “provides quality music education to children of all ages and financial means.”
Tickets range from $5 to $15 in support of Music Time Learning’s Center Scholarship Fund. Table seating, general admission for the parking lot and lawn areas are available for purchase. Guests are welcome to bring folding chairs, blankets and coolers. No alcohol is allowed in the venue.
