BUFORD — Summer may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean the party needs to stop.
On Saturday, Lake Lanier Island Resorts kicks off its four-week fall concert series Live at Lake Lanier — which is actually at Peachtree Pointe Amphitheater.
“The Live at Lake Lanier Fall Concert Series is a welcomed addition to the many events we host at Lake Lanier,” said Mike Williams, CEO of Lake Lanier Islands Resort. “Fall is a beautiful time here and with Lake Sidney Lanier as a backdrop, Peachtree Pointe Amphitheater will again serve as the perfect venue for top artists to perform.”
This week’s acts include Jimmie Vaughan and The Tilt-A-Whirl Band, Lou Ann Barton and Big Mike & The Booty Papas.
• Sept. 21: The CreoleJoe Band, Joe Sample, Ray Parker Jr. and The Bonaventure Quartet
• Sept. 28: Boney James and Angella Christie
• Oct. 5: Spyro Gyra, Straight Ahead and Gwen Hughes
All concerts start at 7 p.m. The amphitheater is an inclined, terraced layout that includes chairs in every section. Guests can purchase food and beverages from the onsite pavilion. Outside food and beverages are not allowed.
A portion of the ticket sales will benefit Verdant Elements, Inc., a nonprofit organization that focuses on sustainable development for healthy lifestyles.
