LAWRENCEVILLE — Find your dancing shoes because the Aurora Theatre is hosting another Swing Night on Saturday.

The live concert will feature music by the 17-piece Metro Jazz Club. The night is filled with the most popular selections from the Big Band Era as well as funk and rock ’n’ roll hits from the ’70s and ’80s.

Metro Jazz Club is led by jazz sax player Gary Dalton with Jason Joines and Amanda Richards belting out the tunes.

Leading as the emcee of the night is the Aurora’s Associate Producer and resident Musical Director Ann-Carol Pence. Accompanying Pence through the evening is guest vocalist Kevin Harry and Leslie Bellair. Both performers are no strangers to the Aurora. They were in the theater’s most successful performance to date, “Les Miserables.”

Harry was Inspector Javert while Bellair played Éponine Thenardier in the musicial.

The event begins at 8 p.m.

On any other evening, you can hear Metro Jazz Club perform Real Big Band classics like Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington of the ’30s and ’40s. Or jam through the ’50s and ’60s with Buddy Rich and Maynard Ferguson. It can also get down to ’70s and ’80s music, like Blood, Sweat and Tears, Chicago and Stevie Wonder.
