ATLANTA — On Thursday morning, veterans who are looking for a job have a chance to talk with several employers at a career fair in Atlanta.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., veterans of all ranks, rates and branches are invited to attend the event at the Georgia Dome. More than 600 people are anticipated to travel to the event.
“There are more than 100,000 military personnel stationed in our state,” Georgia DOT Commissioner Keith Golden said. “And thousands more Georgians serving in our armed forces at other locations, many of them abroad and in harm’s way. We thank them all for their service and are proud to be able help those who are transitioning back to civilian life.”
The event is sponsored by the veterans’ job assistance organization RecruitMilitary, the U.S. Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs, and the Georgia Governor’s Office of Workforce Development.
