Greater Gwinnett Championship names official bank

DULUTH — The Gwinnett stop on the PGA Tour’s Champions Tour has added a major sponsor.

The Greater Gwinnett Championship, in its second year played at TPC Sugarloaf, announced on Monday that State Bank & Trust Company has signed a three-year agreement to be the tournament’s official bank. That also means State Bank will be the title sponsor of the pro-am event on Wednesday and Thursday, and the kickoff party on Tuesday evening.

“We look forward to bringing their brand to life,” tournament executive director Stan Hall said in a press release.

Bernhard Langer won the tournament in April with a 10-under 206 to take the title by three shots over Tom Lehman and Tom Pernice Jr. Next year’s tournament is scheduled for April 16-20.
