LAWRENCEVILLE — Dancing to Sara Bareilles’ song “Brave,” breast cancer survivors donned pink gloves and held signs noting how long they’ve been survivors — three years, two years, a year, 10 months, four months — for Gwinnett Medical Center’s annual Pink Glove dance video in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The survivors are joined in the video by approximately 175 associates from Gwinnett Medical, including both the Lawrenceville and Duluth campuses, Glancy Rehabilitation Center and volunteers.
The video is the 2013 entry for the Pink Glove Dance Competition, sponsored by Medline, a manufacturer of health care supplies. The competition is intended to raise funds to support breast cancer awareness.
