Buford’s offense has been on a roll all season, except for last week when the unit turned the ball over three times in the first half. They regrouped in the second half to score 40-plus points for the sixth time this season.
Joshua Thomas continues to lead the running game. The junior had three touchdowns last week and is second on the team with eight rushing scores and has one receiving touchdown. Thomas Wilson leads the Wolves with 10 total TDs.
Clemson commitment Korie Rogers, the Class AAA Defensive Player of the Year last season, intercepted a pass in last week’s game and is second on the team in tackles.
Kicker Matt Bonadies was 6-for-6 on PATs to remain perfect on the season with 45 straight PATs.
Buford will try to extend its 17-game winning streak dating back to last season when it makes the two-hour trip north to the Blue Ridge mountains.
Fannin County is coming off a 6-0 win over Banks County, which snapped a four-game losing streak. The Rebels have scored just 20 points in the last three games combined.
