LAWRENCEVILLE — Last Friday, Sam and Sonia Howard pressed their finest clothes and laced up their dancing shoes.
The couple spent the morning at the 15th annual senior prom at the Bethesda Senior Center in Lawrenceville.
“Sam and Sonia Howard are a very sweet couple. They have been attending The Lawrenceville Senior Center for about a year and a half,” said Lawrenceville Senior Center Specialist of Gwinnett County Senior Services, Carrie Murphy. “They have truly jumped in and got involved in many aspects of the program we offer. We can always count of both of them to lend a helping hand with anything we need. They have even organized additional field trips and encouraged the inactive seniors to take part outside of our normal programs.”
Approximately 200 other senior citizens came out to a morning “Under the Stars” with music, food an dancing with their sweethearts and friends..
